Tips Before Booking a Trip to Venice
Planning on traveling to Venice? Then you should. This is the only place in the world where almost all the streets are made of water. The gorgeous century old architecture will bloom at night and truly take your breath away. It is also safe to say that Venice is one of the most romantic places to stay in the world and it’s no wonder Venice has become a popular getaway for lovers and honeymooners. A trip to Venice would certainly be a memorable one. Here are some tips you need to keep in mind before booking a trip to Venice.
1. When is the best time to visit.
Like any other place in the world, Venice also celebrates festivals, including the very popular "The Carnival of Venice." Just be ready to shell out some extra money because prices for food and accommodation soar high during festival months, but your experience at this time would be like no other.
3. Weather in Venice.
Would you like to visit Venice during its "bone-chilling" weather in January and February? Or maybe experience the muggy heat of the city during the summer months (July and August). If you book your trip in the months between December and March, these months have the heaviest downpours. Note: If you do not want the heavy crowds, spring and fall are the best seasons to visit.
4. Where to Eat.
Since Venice is a tourist city, it would be smart to make reservations ahead of time. Here are some restaurants offering cheap eats in Venice: Taverna del Campiello Remer, Brek self-service restaurant and Spizzico.
5. What to do and see in Venice.
There are lots of things to see and do in Venice and it only takes a little research and patience, especially if it is your first time. Don't freak out or get paranoid if you get lost while looking for some scenic or historical spot in Venice. Like they say, getting lost is all part of the experience. But, if you want to save time and avoid the hassle of getting directions, a guided tour might be what you need.

2. Where to Stay.
Before booking your accommodation, think of the purpose of your visit, length of stay and most especially your budget. If you're there for romance then you should try one of the many boutique hotels in the city. For backpackers or budget travelers, book your hotel accommodation on the mainland.
